If you’re considering entrepreneurship as a career option after military service, the process can be intimidating. Fortunately, there are several resources available to help you succeed. We’ve found five of these resources to get you started.

#1: The Institute for Veterans and Military Families

The Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) at Syracuse University is one of the leading providers in veteran and military spouse entrepreneurship training and mentoring. Under the institute, you can find Entrepreneurship Bootcamps for vets and veterans’ families. In addition, partners like the eMentor Program, offer one-on-one mentoring for graduates of the IVMF programs.

#2: StreetShares Grant Program

The StreetShares Foundation offers $10,000 in grants to veteran or military spouse entrepreneurs every month. There are qualification requirements, and interested parties should carefully review the application. The StreetShares Foundation is part of the StreetShares lending program

#3: The Rosie Network

The Rosie Network is a non-profit created to support military entrepreneurs. The organization has created an online platform called Rosie’s List where military-affiliated businesses can promote their products and services.
