Since 1999, they’ve helped transfer more than a thousand inventions and have facilitated more than half of all licensed agreements in the US. Austin used to work at the Silicon Valley before working for TechLink. It was 2014 when he came across them.

He shares that TechLink is funded by the US Department of Defense. They work with research facilities across the country, and has products that can be used by the private sectors.

Wide Range of Possibilities

The research they conduct is not limited to a certain discipline. They cover many areas of science, and range from new materials to software.

Supplying new technology is important to stay ahead in the battlefield. But, according to Austin, the technology they produce may also be used in the commercial marketplace.

For a veteran to get started with TechLink, the first thing to do is to visit their website at techlinkcenter.org. There you will find all the available technology for specific industries.

Once you have identified the category, you will be provided with a detailed description. There will also be a point of contact to assist you in valuation and licensing.
