149: Resupply: Post, Buy, Sell Exclusively for the Military Community

A West Point graduate, Paul started ReSupply within the entrepreneurial program at the academy. Before ReSupply, Paul was a Division 1 lacrosse player, and CEO of a real estate development company (LITS Development). He is a native of Sudbury, MA.

Paul The Young Entrepreneur

Paul had his first job at his father’s landscape company. He was just 10 years old when he started working in a mechanic shop. He fixed junk equipment from his dad’s company, and resold it on Craigslist. Paul was always into business from such an early age.

For 3 years, he worked on a sales equipment company that he started. His items included landscape equipment, golf carts, industrial equipment, and construction supplies. Afterwards, he worked for his uncle at a construction for 1 year.

He took after his dad and uncle’s entrepreneurial footsteps, and learned about the whole business process. Every year from 15 years old until he graduated from West Point, Paul worked on real estate where he would buy a complex, rent it out, and purchase another one.

Business at West Point

Paul entered West Point as a lacrosse player. That’s where he found a new opportunity for selling. He couldn’t play and continue with his business at the same time, however. So, he decided to start a new one at the academy by selling textbooks.

He got another business opportunity by the end of his sophomore year, when he was invited to work for a fashion company. Paul spent about a year and a half in the fashion industry, until he went on an exchange opportunity at a Spanish academy.

ReSupply for Military Personnel

By the time he returned to West Point, he took up a business course where he got the opportunity to compete for $25,000. He had a company, but didn’t know how to create an application that would allow him to run his business.

He sought for advice from a variety of people. Paul eventually won 1st place in the regionals, but still didn’t have the cash prize. So, he went on to compete at the state level.

Within 10 days, he launched his application which posted over $70,000 worth of value. It also generated almost 40,000 transactions, and spread across military installations. From that, Paul saw the need for similar stuffs in military equipment.

Scams teemed the marketplace, and there was no reliable platform available. That’s when ReSupply was formed— the safest place to buy, sell, and trade exclusively within your military community.
