    Joe,
Based on this podcast, I contacted Chris Love of Patriot Movers, with hopes of doing right by veterans. Chris arranged a move that turned out a fiasco. He misrepresented the company, its insurance, the mover’s veteran status and experience. The movers showed up with a rickety trailer and a broken down pickup truck to move an $8,000 deli case. Once loaded, there was no paperwork to sign for insurance, but I was assured it would be there upon delivery. Once on the road, a moving blanket caught fire (discarded cigarette) and destroyed the deli case for usable service. He is not returning calls, texts or emails. Importantly, these vets we being paid only $100 each for three men for a 10 hour move from Hickory to Cary, NC. for an cost initially quoted at $1,150. Chris (who is not a vet) has set up a business profiteering from Veterans and exploiting customers. Please remove this podcast and do not promote his business. If you have any contact information on Chris Love (Charlotte or Raleigh, NC), it would be greatly appreciated.

The owner, Chris Love (who is not a vet), arranged a move that turned out a fiasco. He misrepresented the company, its insurance, the mover’s veteran status and experience.

NONE of the movers on my job were veterans. The lead mover, Keith (Job Core hire) has been employed by Chris over the past month… none of his crew have been Vets.

The guys Chris hired arrived hours late, completely unaware and unprepared for what they were picking up… During this nightmare, I had more than enough time to get the “scoop” on Chris, their compensation and previous jobs. He is merely a broker, making contact with financially strapped guys on Craigslist, promising $40/hour, but employing guys desperate enough to do the job for far less and then blames them for the mess he makes, claiming “miscommunication”. Over the past month, Keith has never gotten any paperwork from Chris for customers to sign… which he knows isn’t right, but he simply shows up in his broken down truck and takes the heat…. the same truck which I had to jump start on the side of the highway, after they stopped to put out the fire that ruined my $8,757 refrigerated deli case. The next day, he attempted to charge my credit card for the cost of the move!!

In recent years, I have moved across country twice… managed a move back from Cairo Egypt last June… yet I have never encountered this failure of accountability and deception.

I was a professor of business at FSU for seven years, teaching at Fort Bragg and the Air Force Academy… I just returned from 4 years teaching in Cairo, Egypt, getting the truth on US activities and our losses in the Middle East… my colleague was blown up in Bagdad 4 years ago. I take it personally when I find a guy pimping out the Veteran card to gain customers, exploit impoverished laborers and screw over customers.

Shrouding his fraudulent business practices as a veteran’s program is simply unacceptable.
