The Cohen Veterans Network, a not-for-profit philanthropic organization, was created to serve them by providing high-quality, accessible, and integrated mental health care.

Jean Marie Dillon is a Certified Financial Planner and Accredited Financial Counselor. She provides nationwide, sales-free financial counseling and planning services. Today, she is an expert in coaching service members and veterans to financially transition back into society.

“Military, especially military veterans, lack the financial literacy that they need to transition back into civilian life. And that’s why i feel like my services and what my colleagues bring to the table bolster that knowledge.” – Jean Marie Dillon

Jean Marie Dillon – The Reason Behind

Jean Marie recalls gravitating the same sphere with over 60 other financial planners all chasing the same dollar, the same high-network individual. It took realizing the existence of a “subset” of the economy that make practical financial guidance for small-time individuals or groups for her to hop on a different train.

“There’s a huge segment of the population who has a need and they’re not being fulfilled by traditional financial advisers.” – Jean Marie Dillon

This was precisely when she turned around and made financial counseling her career, instead of going the path of a typical financial adviser for big names.

Serving for the Military: Then and Now

Jean Marie started out in her profession primarily to provide value-added service as a military financial counselor. When it occurred to her that she needed a steady, full-time job, she went to private practice.

Even then, she didn’t deviate much from what she previously did, essentially doing what she’s done before for military members and their spouses. Adapting her experiences to her focus population, she’s transitioned into helping veterans and civilians at present time.

The Army: An Incredible Lot

Jean Marie’s experience working for the army was a constant state of awe. Endowed with entrepreneurial spirit, the army is a group of ingenious individuals.

“I’m in constant awe of what they know and what they can do with what little they have.” – Jean Marie Dillon

This first-hand knowledge only managed to fan her desire to serve the population. She carries this sentiment, even in private practice.
